Double-strung harp luthiers

These are all of the double-strung harps that I know of that are currently being made. #x2 refers to the number of strings on one side times two because it’s a double. The harp’s weight varies depending on the type of wood and number of levers that you get; I’ve copied the weight that the luthiers have listed in their product information.

Why don’t I list the costs? Partly because they might change, but mostly because there are several factors that go into the price, even for harps that are the same model:

• Type of wood.

• Number of levers.

• Brand of lever.

• Decorations.

• Strap or stand. THIS IS IMPORTANT. Most of these harps do not sit on the floor like what you might picture when you think of an orchestra harp. Sometimes they are shown with stands, but the price of the stand is almost always additional. I highly, highly, highly recommend getting a stand. It will be much easier for you to play (and learn to play) if you’re not struggling to keep your harp balanced in your lap or on a makeshift pedestal.
